As your much-awaited journey with Veena World begins, here’s how your first day will unfold based on your selected tour departure:

Guests Departing from Mumbai (Scheduled Group Departure)
Guests who have opted for the Mumbai to Mumbai tour should report at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Domestic or International Airport, Mumbai / Loknete D.B. Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport, three hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time.
Upon arrival at Itanagar Airport, your Veena World Tour Manager will meet you and ensure a smooth transition to the hotel or the sightseeing spot, as per the itinerary.

Joining & Leaving (J&L) Guests – From India or Anywhere in the World
If you are joining the tour from any part of India or overseas by making your own arrangements, please ensure you receive complete guidance for a smooth arrival, hotel check-in, or joining at the sightseeing point.
Your Veena World Travel Advisor and Tour Manager will coordinate and guide you accordingly. The Tour Manager will meet you directly at the first destination, as per the itinerary shared with you.

Important Notes:
• For Joining & Leaving guests, flight tickets and airport transfers are at your own cost.
• To avail of the group airport transfers:
• Your arrival airport must match the scheduled group arrival airport.
• Your arrival time should be at least one hour before the scheduled group flight arrival time.
• On the last day, your departure flight must be scheduled after the group’s flight from the same airport in order to avail the group airport transfer.
• Hotel Check-in Time in India: Standard check-in time is 12:00 PM (12:00 hrs) or later.
• If your flight arrives in the morning, we include a sightseeing activity before check-in to make the most of your time.
• In case of flight rescheduling—arriving earlier on the first day or leaving later on the last day—Veena World will take care of additional meals or snacks, if any.
• We recommend keeping your travel documents, valuables, and money safe during the tour.
• Always keep Veena World emergency contact details and your Tour Manager’s mobile number with you during the journey.

Today we visit the serene Gompa Buddhist Temple, a beautiful site offering panoramic views of the city and surroundings. In the evening, have a short Meet & Greet session.

Today we proceed on a full-day excursion to Ziro – a picturesque valley and the homeland of the Apatani tribe. Surrounded by pine-clad hills, Ziro is known for its unique paddy-cum-fish cultivation. En route, we enjoy scenic views at Potin Dam and visit Tago Nyishi village. In Ziro, we explore the traditional Apatani villages. Here, we get a glimpse of the Apatani way of life – famous for tattooed faces, blackened teeth, and the distinct nose plugs worn by the women. We return to Itanagar by evening.

Today we proceed to Jorhat – the tea capital of Assam. En route, we drive along the scenic outline of Kaziranga National Park.

Today we visit Majuli – the world’s largest river island nestled in the Brahmaputra River. We drive to Nimati Ghat and board a ferry to reach Majuli.
Upon arrival at the island, we visit the famous Auniati Satra and Samaguri Satra – known for preserving Assamese culture, satriya dance, and traditional mask-making. Later we return to Jorhat.

Today we explore Sivasagar – the erstwhile capital of the Ahom Kingdom and a treasure trove of Assam's rich history and heritage. Upon arrival, we visit Talatal Ghar, a seven-storied palace known for its fascinating underground tunnels and military architecture, Rang Ghar, fondly known as the 'Colosseum of the East'. Later, we seek blessings at Shivadol, one of the tallest Shiva temples in India, located on the banks of the Sivasagar Tank, followed by a visit to the Joysagar Tank, one of the largest man-made tanks in India and Kareng Ghar, the royal palace of the Ahom kings. Later we return to Jorhat.

Today we proceed to Kohima – the capital of Nagaland. En route, we visit the Sukapha Samannay Kshetra – a memorial dedicated to Chaolung Sukapha, the founder of the Ahom dynasty.
Upon arrival in Kohima, we visit the Kohima War Cemetery (subject to operation), Nagaland State Museum, State Emporium and the iconic Kohima Cathedral – one of the largest in Northeast India.

Today we explore two cultural gems of Nagaland.
We begin with Khonoma – Asia’s First Green Village. We take a heritage walk through this eco-conscious village known for its nature conservation efforts and unique Angami tribe culture.
Later, we visit Kisama – the Naga Heritage Village which hosts the Hornbill Festival. Here, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant tribal traditions of Nagaland through their architecture, lifestyle, and interaction with the locals.

Guests traveling on the scheduled group flight will proceed to the airport as per the group’s departure time.

Joining & Leaving (J&L) Guests:
J&L guests will proceed to the airport after the scheduled group tour concludes.
If your flight timing and airport match the group’s, you may join the group airport transfer. Otherwise, the cost of reaching the airport, cruise terminal, railway station, or bus terminal will be borne by the guest.
